Bone Marrow Donor Day at Our Office

Bone Marrow Donor Day at Our Office

On August 3, a Bone Marrow Donor Day was held at the TaxCoach office in cooperation with the DKMS Foundation.

The DKMS Foundation is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to fighting blood cancers and other diseases of the blood-forming system. Its mission is to find a suitable donor for every patient around the world who needs a stem cell transplant. DKMS has been operating in Poland since 2008 as an independent non-profit organisation. It has the status of a Public Benefit Organisation and operates as a Bone Marrow Donor Centre under a decision of the Polish Minister of Health. Over more than 14 years, the Foundation has registered more than 1,800,000 potential donors in Poland. You can find more information about the Foundation here.

Following an educational campaign aimed at raising awareness of bone marrow donation, TaxCoach employees had the opportunity to register in the Bone Marrow Donor Database by completing the required forms and safely providing a cheek swab sample.

We hope that in this way we can help people affected by blood cancers while also increasing awareness of these diseases among our audience.

We would like to thank the DKMS Foundation for giving us the opportunity to take part in this initiative, and we encourage everyone to register as a potential donor.
